The Afar Revolutionary Democratic Unity Front (ARDUF) said the trucks were transporting arms and ammunition from the Red Sea Port of Massawa to Bada, a disputed border town being monitored by the UN peacekeeping force – UNMEE. Since 1991, ARDUF has been fighting the Meles and Isayas governments for the restoration of Eritrea-annexed Ethiopia’s Red Sea Afar territory, including the Port of Assab. © COPYRIGHT 2002 Ethiomedia.com Email: [email protected].
