During interview with the news media such as the leading newspaper the Dallas Morning News, Iman, a Dallas-born Ethiopian, told reporters that single mothers from Ethiopia as well as from all over the world, can be positive role models to the education and wellbeing of children in the United States.
“My mother is my role model in many ways. As a single mother she played both roles as a mother and a father. Therefore, I honor my mother, Hajera Abdalla Kabir, as my hero,” said the young and intelligent Ethiopian Iman. When Iman finishes school, she plans to be a diplomat at the United Nations.
