Dear Ethiomedia,

I am one of the frequent visitors of your web site and have been reading so many well written articles authored by different intellectuals, among whom is the most admirable Dr. Tseggai Mebratu’s many well articulated articles. Few of the many educational articles of his are “Miscarriage of Justice in Algiers, Miscarriage of Justice in the Hague,” and now “Modernization: A poisoned chalice for Ethiopians,” a must read by all Ethiopians if Ethiomedia is kind enough and interpret it in Amharic, especially the latter.

I believe we all are indebted to Emperor Minilik for preserving the independence of Ethiopia with his leadership skill on both the military and diplomatic front. Considering the circumstances and the encroachment of Ethiopia by the colonial powers, he made the right decision. And we have to understand that and give the respect that Emperor Minilik deserves. I would like to pass my deepest appreciation to Dr. Tseggai Mebratu for his patriotic stand and contribution in educating us. Keep up the good work.

With best regards,
Awoke Abegaz
