Letter Clarification

Let me take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to the immense contribution that Ethiomedia is making to share news, analysis and opinion pieces on critical issues of importance to Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopians at home and abroad. I cannot emphasize enough the role played by such information outlets at the current sociopolitical trajectory that we as a nation are found in. I do have great respect to you, the editors and contributors of ethiomedia.

The cause that has prompted me to write this note to you is a recent exchange between my long time good friend Alethia and a brother by the name D. Assefa who responded to Alethia’s article. I have received reactions from several individuals who thought I was the person whose name was abbreviated as D. Assefa. Without prejudice of any sort on the points raised in the articles or the authors thereof I have found it necessary to make it known to your esteemed readers that I am not the person referred above and for reasons of future clarification my writings, if any, will only appear under my full name Daniel Assefa Mekibib.
