New book: “Atse Tewodros II”; Author: Amare Afele Bishaw

Note – The author would be signing his book in Atlanta on June 30, 2011.

A new book which chronicles the life of Emperor Tewodros II in Amharic has been published in Seattle, Washington.

“Atse Tewodros Le Ethiopia Tinantim, Zarem, Negem” (Emperor Tewodros II for Ethiopia: Yeterday, today and tomorrow) is authored by Amare Afele Bishaw, a long time resident of the city of Seattle.

Amare held a book signing ceremony on April 9 in Seattle, and the guest of honor was Prof. Worku Adugna, an Ethiopian scholar known for his great poems. The ceremony was in sync with the 143rd Anniversary of the death of Emperor at the Battle of Magdala.
