Abate wraps seminar in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Canada – The Seminar -” Kinijit is the Way” – was held in Vancouver, Canada, on May 6th. It was started with a brief introduction of Ato Abate Kassa, who is a veteran social activist and management expert from New York by the Chairman of Vancouver Kinijit Support Group Ato Worku Salah.

Ato Abate Kassa discussed how Kinijit’s visionary and inclusive platform sets a significant paradigm shift in the Ethiopian political landscape. In the face of a government that is engaged in mass and indiscriminate arrests and other gross human rights violations, Kinijit’s path of peace, reconciliation and harmony have become a rallying movement to save Ethiopia.
After emphasizing the crucial role of the Ethiopian Diaspora in the struggle to bring about democratic changes in Ethiopia, Ato Abate made a compelling appeal to the Diaspora to support Kinijit and to work for this noble cause.

The seminar was well attended by a great deal of interest in the audience that was present. Informed and lively discussions took place between the guest speaker and the audience . At the time he concluded the seminar nobody from the audience noticed that three hours had already lapsed. There was a very long standing ovation for his outstanding seminar.

After the seminar was over, participants also attended a dinner reception held in honour of Ato Abate Kassa at Harambe Restaurant hosted by Vancouver Kinijit Support Group.
