WASHINGOTN, DC – Seeye Abraha, one of the top leaders of Medrek who recently visited the U.S. will sign his much-awaited book April 27 at Washington Marriott.
Ethiopians who had read the manuscript of the book said the political literature is highly informative, specially the political tug-of-war the author had with his long time friend-turned-foe, Prime Minister Meles Zenawi.
“This is a powerful book with lots of information that we have never heard of,” a close colleague of the political figure said. “I wonder if there is any information left out, specially about Ato Meles.”
The book signing ceremony will take place Tuesday April 27, starting 6:00 PM at Washington Marriott Hotel on 1221 22nd Street NW, Washington, DC 20037.
Seeye Abraha wows his audiences
WASHINGTON, DC Apr 23) – One of the senior Medrek leaders on visit to the U.S. has been Seeye Abraha. He has been the ‘talk of town.’ Ethiopians have expressed utter surprise over the ‘transformation’ of Seeye from a brilliant military strategist into a visionary politician. During Medrek’s grand meeting at Washington Marriott in Washington, DC for instance, Seeye wowed the audience by blending humor with some sober political thoughts.
“I couldn’t believe how much Seeye has changed,” is the oft-heard remark of many Ethiopians. Seeye’s tour with his equally gifted colleagues in the likes of Gizachew Shiferaw, Negasso Gidada and Gebru Asrat has being welcomed enthusiastically. Three of these intelligent individuals have persuaded their audiences so much that most of the Diaspora have pinned their hopes on Medrek to bring about an end to the Zenawi ruling party.
The three have already turned their faces to Ethiopia, where they face enormous challenges, both from the ruling party and other “rivals” that are working with the regime to dismantle Medrek.
But in the meantime, Seeye will continue to meet with Ethiopian audiences here in America. Tomorrow, Seeye will be in Boston, home to the popular pro-democracy media, AbugidaInfo.com. Based in Boston is also the young leader of Medrek Support Group in North America, Aklog.
On Sunday, Los Angeles will meet Seeye, and discuss what is in store for Ethiopia.
