These days, the TPLF regime is undertaking desperate measures to reverse the inevitable Ethiopian revolution – but with futility. I sincerely call on all Tigreans to whom this Eritrean mercenary group (i.e., TPLF) has developed a wrong sentiment. TPLF has used you as human shields during the so-called “liberation” struggle against the Dergue Regime and today to cling to power forever.
There are only few Tigreans who have accumulated wealth in Addis Ababa and other major towns. These are Woyanne thugs and mafias who detain, incarcerate and assassinate Ethiopians. We all understand that only a handful of Tigreans are supporting this mercenary regime. We are cognizant that the majority of Tigray is living in abject poverty, political harassment and insecurity. We want to express our deepest gratitude to those Tigreans (such as Gebremedhin Araya and Seeye Abraha) who are fighting for the Ethiopian cause. If you any more hesitate to join the Ethiopian people toward their struggle for freedom and liberty, history and the Ethiopian people will harshly judge you soon. Meles and his cliques by virtue of having a blood in Eritrea are for Eritreans, and not for you.
TPLF has always echoed that the Amharas or Oromos or any other ethnic group will stand against you. Never be mystified, we are one. We have been intermingled and intermarried since time immemorial. Think of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia, Muhammad Hosni Sayyid Mubarak of Egypt and their families who have lost their power, wealth and reputation in a few days. We, therefore, urge you to express your solidarity with the Ethiopian people through different media; openly denounce this regime; and start supporting opposition parties such as Arena Tigray and others.
