President Obama and Ethiopia’s call for freedom

On May 8, 2014, Ethiopian journalist and freedom activist Abebe Gellaw interrupted President Barack Obama at a Democratic National Committee Fundraiser. He called on President Obama to support freedom for Ethiopia and stand with the oppressed people of Ethiopia. The U.S. has been funding the tyrannical regime in Ethiopia, which is routinely accused of committing gross human rights violations including extrajudicial killings, torture, jailing journalists, bloggers and activists.
