APC’s Day Three Sounds Promising

WASHINGTON DC (JULY 29) – On Monday, July 28, the second day of the All Party Conference of
Ethiopian
Opposition Political Organizations, His Excellency Lij Michael Imiru,
the
former Prime Minster of Ethiopia, addressed the delegates during the
morning hours
before the beginning of the closed session. Lij Michael delivered his
speech
with a fatherly advice and plea for the organizations to come out of
the
conference with unity and spirit of understanding.

So far, all indications are the conference is going according to the
plan
and very smoothly, the spirit of the participants is very positive and
with a
determination to successfully form a United Front.

Today and in the coming days, substantial issues will be discussed.

As stated earlier on Sunday, July 27, 2003, the All Party Conference
selected
three officials as joint chairs for ongoing week-long conference. The
name
of the chairpersons are Wrt . Alemz Seifu, Ato Wendayhau Kassa and
Ato
Aregawi
Berhe. Ato Fassika Bellette was also chosen to serve as the secretary
for
the duration of the conference.
