Author Zewde Retta book-signs in Atlanta Press Release | September 7, 2012 ATLANTA –Ambassador Zewde Retta, author of the recently-published and highly acclaimed historical account of Emperor Haile Sellassie, said he intends to write the second part of his latest book that covers the period after 1955. The author made the statement in an interview with Mahidere Andinet radio program in Atlanta on Sunday, September 2, 2012. The latest book covers the first half of the emperor’s reign since coronation in the ’30s. He said he has shared with fellow Ethiopians the historical facts that he personally witnessed while working as a journalist for 18 years (up to the rank of vice minister) followed by 5 years of diplomatic missions in France and Italy. Mr. Retta will have a book signing ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Piazza restaurant known for its unique and authentic collection of photos of past and present famous Ethiopians in all walks of life. The ambassador will also attend the Ethiopian New Year’s eve celebration organized by Ethiopian Community Association for 3rd time in a row on Sunday September 9, 2012 that would create a unique opportunity for Atlantans to meet a man with wide range of knowledge on Ethiopia and the era of the Late Emperor Haile Sellassie.
