Elias Kifle faces Abraha Belai on Qale Forum Saturday

SEATTLE – Elias Kifle, editor of Ethiopian Review, will appear on Qale Forum on Saturday to discuss current issues with Abraha Belai, editor of Ethiomedia.com. The debate starts at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

The two journalists belong to the opposition camp but stand poles apart on the methodology to effect political changes in Ethiopia.

While Abraha favors a home-based, Medrek-style nationwide struggle under the iconic leadership of jailed opposition leader Birtukan Mideksa, Elias shares the belief that the way to get rid of the tyrannical Meles Zenawi regime is via an armed struggle – and with the backing of Eritrea.
