Ethio-Eritrean Friendship Conf. set for March 24 in San Jose

A team of Ethiopian and Eritrean professionals continues to press on for a harmonious relationship
between their two communities who share deep historical, cultural and societal ties. The Fourth Annual

Friendship Conference is slated for Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Masonic Center located at 2500

Masonic Drive in San Jose, California.

The conference starts at 2:00pm and will go until 10:00pm.

The aim of the conference is to bring together Ethiopian and Eritrean scholars, community leaders,

peace advocates, and members of the community to discuss ways and means for healing past wounds

and fostering peace, reconciliation and friendship between Eritreans and Ethiopians.

The conference theme is, “Ethiopia & Eritrea: Healing Past Wounds – Building Bridges Together for a

Brighter Future”. Distinguished guest speakers from Europe, US and locally from Stanford and the

Greater Bay Area will explore wide range of issues related to the subject through keynote speeches,

panel & group discussions, and research papers.

Ethiopian & Eritrean Friendship Forum (EEFF) strives to create an empowering environment for ordinary

Eritreans and Ethiopians where honest people-to-people dialog, based on trust and mutual respect, can

take place with the aim of healing past wounds and building bridges for a brighter future in the region.

The conference is open to the public. All are welcome!
