Point Four, the movie that narrates the story of America’s commitment to Ethiopia from 1949 to 1968, will be screened on Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the Ethiopian Community Mutual Association (ECMA) here in Seattle.
Point Four program was a success of the time that it led to the birth of several great schools like Jimma, Alemaya and Ambo along with teacher training institutes in Harar and Debre Berhan.
Aberra Ashne, a well respected educator from Ethiopia and a graduate of Alemaya College, will play some of his
Ethiopian songs on his accordion and entertain the audience.
Another prominet guest of the event would also be Ms. Ann Skinner, who was the piano teacher of the grand children of Emperor Haile Selassie.
Ann will give a presentation and reflect on
her life in Ethiopia.
The Producer and director, Mel
Tewahade, will also be present to answer questions about the movie.
Ethio Youth Media TV/MMRTI will show the documentary film at ECMA beginning 6:00PM (Pacific Time).
Entrance fee of $5 will go to the benefit of ECMA.
