Washington, DC mayor welcomes Ethiopian Festival guests

“It is my pleasure to welcome the guests of the Second Annual Ethiopian Heritage Festival to this great city,” the mayor has said of the event that will be held between July 27 to 29, 2012 in Washington, DC.

“The annual event exhibits the cultural richness of Ethiopia through arts and crafts exhibitions, music, song, and dance, as well as offers participants the opportunity to enjoy authentic Ethiopian food,” wrote the mayor, a native Washingtonian who was
overwhelmingly elected on November 2, 2010, garnering nearly 75 percent of the vote.
